Thirsk & District Motor Club
General
Thirsk & District MC is a has a small number of dedicated members all of whom are riders or ex-riders. The Club was formed in 1949 and organises events throughout the year for Moto-x, Trials and enduro disiplines. All of the land we use is local to the Thirsk area and nearby Hambleton Hills.
We are fortunate to have two pieces of land for hosting our Trials events The Gill at Long Plain Farm and Pringles Wood at Kilburn, both of which provide a good deal of variation for riders of all skill levels.
Likewise we have access to two venues for our Enduro events although up until recently we have only been able to utilise Boltby Forest due to wind blown tree damage in Silton Forest.
Events
The club organises 2 Moto-x events each year on another piece of land at Long Plain Farm. the track is laid out as it has been from days gone by and provides riders with an old school scramble track. Plenty of natrural hills twists and turns without too many of the present day big jumps. The natural layout provides excellent racing for all level of competitor.
